Losing your baby son – watching him choke and turn blue as you hold him, helplessly – is about the most terrifying experience a father can have. That’s what Hong Kong unicorn business leader Aaron Pang faced when his child stopped breathing in his arms.
By some miracle, whatever caused the blockage – no one knows what it was – dislodged itself and the boy survived, but Aaron was so shaken by the experience that he found himself questioning his whole purpose as a businessman, as a father, as a man, as a human being in this world. The shock pushed him on a mission to seek clear, enduring answers to his questions about the meaning of adulthood, asked from the childlike place of helplessness and vulnerability he’d experienced in that moment with his son.
Aaron is the founder and host of the TRANSFORMATIVE PURPOSE movement, spanning his podcast, series of self-help books and speaking engagements. His message challenges people to bring themselves down to “kid height” to see the world from a purer, more uncluttered perspective.
